Rev. Serhii Nakul:
We are Close to the Listerners
I was drafted into the Ukrainian military as a Chaplain,” says Serhii Nakul, host of FEBC-Ukraine’s Bible program.
“This has been an incredible experience, more challenging than I could have imagined. But I know that God has a purpose for my being here, and He has already proved that many times over.
“These young men are going through extreme trials. The loss of life is immense. So many of them know that they will not come back from the frontlines. The hope of the Gospel is needed here like nowhere else.
“So many soldiers from my division have already come up to me saying they watch the program.
They thank me for helping them hear the life-giving Words of God. Many of them tell me that they listen to the program together with their friends.
“I heard Jesus’s story for the first time.”

Serhii with Eduard, FEBC-Ukraine’s Director
“One young man said that he never expected to get an education in the Bible after coming to the army. He told me, ‘I lived my whole life without even knowing what Easter was about. It was actually on your program, while I was fighting in a war, that I heard Jesus’s story for the first time.’
“There are hundreds of thousands of soldiers like this one, who have lived their lives without ever hearing the Gospel. Today, thousands listen to our programs—on their phones, on car radios, even on small handheld radios.
“Thank you, friends, for helping us share the Good News with those who most urgently need to hear it. Together, we are fighting for their souls.”
